Enchanting Leveling Guide 1-525

This Enchanting Leveling Guide will talk you through the process of proceeding from Enchanting 1 all the way up to Enchanting 525 (the maximum level.) To do this you’ll either need a lot of time (to collect components) or a great deal of expendable gold to purchase magic items and components from the Auction House. It’s also important to have a Blacksmith buddy on hand to make you the rods as you progress up the levels.

During the Enchanting process you’ll be asked to retrieve a lot of different components. Most of them—dusts, essences, and the like—are produced from disenchanting magical items. Sometimes you can just turn around and disenchant what you’ve already made to obtain more magical dust and essence; but oftentimes you’ll find yourself visiting the Auction House for stacks of the disenchanting remnants.

Enchanting 1-50

To begin enchanting you will need a [Runed Copper Rod]. This item requires a [Copper Rod] (created by a Blacksmith), [Strange Dust] x1, and [Lesser Magic Essence] x1—the dust and essence are produced via Disenchanting magic items so you should have plenty by the time you need to make the rod.

You can actually manage to make it all the way to Enchanting 50 just by disenchanting; but if you don’t feel like wading through all the magic items you can purchase a bracer and use [Enchant Bracer – Minor Health] x 48—requiring [Strange Dust] x48

Enchanting 50-135

Once you hit Enchanting 50, visit your trainer and get Journeyman Enchanting. This will allow you to reach Enchanting 150. You will need to be at least level 10 at this time.

First, go back to your bracer and use [Enchant Bracer – Minor Health] x40—requiring [Strange Dust] x40—that will get you from 50-90. Then you can switch up to [Enchant Bracer – Minor Stamina] x10—requiring [Strange Dust] x30—that will take you from 90-100. You can continue this route all the way up to Enchanting 120.

However, at Enchanting 100 you’ll want a [Runed Silver Rod] for newer Enchanting formulae. To make this you’ll need your [Runed Copper Rod] from before, a [Silver Rod] made by a Blacksmith, [Strange Dust] x6, and [Greater Magic Essence] x3 (you can make a single greater essence by combining 3 lesser essence—so you could use [Lesser Magic Essence] x9 here.)

For a quick way from Enchanting 100-110, just make [Greater Magic Wand] x10—requiring [Simple Wood] x10 and [Greater Magic Essence] x10.

At this point, you’ll want to get your hands on some new Enchanting formulae taught by scrolls, such as [Formula: Enchant Bracer – Lesser Strength] and [Formula: Enchant Cloak – Minor Agility]; both of these scrolls are sold by vendors so you’ll be in for a little bit of a trek. If you’re Horde, you’ll have to visit the Stonetalon Mountains and find Kulwia at Sun Rock Retreat; if you’re Alliance, you’ll have to visit Ashenvale and find Dalria at Astranaar. Of course, you may just find these scrolls on the Auction House if you look.

To reach Enchanting 135 from 110 just use [Enchant Cloak – Minor Agility] x 25—requiring [Lesser Astral Essence] x25.

Enchanting 135-200

Once you hit Enchanting 135, it’s time to train up to the next level of Expert Enchanting. This will allow you to reach Enchanting 225. You will need to be at least level 20 at this time.

Now to bring you up to Enchanting 155, pull out [Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina] x20—requiring [Soul Dust] x40.

Now you’ll want a [Runed Golden Rod]. This will require your [Runed Silver Rod] from before, a [Golden Rod] made by a Blacksmith, an [Iridescent Pearl], [Greater Astral Essence] x2, [Soul Dust] x2. The essence and soul dust can be obtained from disenchanting; the pearl, however, involves opening a lot of Big-mouth Clams and Thick-shelled Clams or a trip to the Auction House.

You should now be at Enchanting 156, so ready [Enchant Bracer – Lesser Strength] x19—requiring [Soul Dust] x38. Keep churning that until you’ve reached Enchanting 165.

At Enchanting 165 use [Enchant Bracer – Spirit] x20—requiring [Lesser Mystic Essence] x20.

At Enchanting 185 use [Enchant Bracer – Strength] x15—requiring [Vision Dust] x15.

Enchanting 200-285

Go visit a trainer to learn Artisan Enchanting. This will allow you to reach Enchanting 300. You will need to be at least level 35 at this time.

You can use the previous formula to reach 205, it’ll just take [Enchant Bracer – Strength] x6—requiring [Vision Dust] x6. In fact, you can do this all the way up until Enchanting 220.

Once you reach 204, you’ll need a [Runed Truesilver Rod]. For this you’ll need your [Runed Golden Rod], a [Truesilver Rod] made by a Blacksmith, [Visiton Dust] x2, [Greater Mystic Essence] x2, and a [Black Pearl.] As before the dust and essence are the products of disenchanting; however, the pearl means farming Big-mouth Clams dropped from Tidal Striders and Saltwater Snapjaws or another trip to the Auction House.

At Enchanting 205 use [Enchant Cloak – Greater Defense] x20—requiring [Vision Dust] x60.

Now we’re going to go through a long series of short steps in order to reduce costs.

At Enchanting 225 use [Enchant Gloves - Agility] x5—requiring [Vision Dust] x5 and [Lesser Nether Essence] x5.

At Enchanting 230 use [Enchant Boots - Stamina] x5—requiring [Vision Dust] x5.

At Enchanting 235 use [Enchant Chest – Superior Health] x5—requiring [Vision Dust] x30.

At Enchanting 240 use [Enchant Boots – Lesser Accuracy] x5—requiring [Vision Dust] x20 and [Lesser Nether Essence] x5.

At Enchanting 245 use [Enchant Shield – Greater Spirit] x5—requiring [Dream Dust] x10 and [Lesser Nether Essence] x5.

At Enchanting 250 make [Lesser Mana Oil] x5—requiring [Crystal Vial] x5, [Purple Lotus] x10, and [Dream Dust] x15. The vials can be bought from a trade goods vendor on the cheap; the lotus can be picked up from any Herbalist (or the Auction House); and as usual the dust is a byproduct of disenchanting. You can continue this all the way until Enchanting 270 if you wish.

At Enchanting 260 use [Enchant Bracer – Greater Intellect] x5—requiring [Lesser Eternal Essence] x15.

At Enchanting 265 use [Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina] x5—requiring [Dream Dust] x25.

Enchanting 285-350

By now you’ll need to visit a trainer to learn Master Enchanting. This will allow you to reach Enchanting 375. You will need to be level 50 at this time.

The next few steps will require you to purchase two more formulae from Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade: [Formula: Enchant Cloak – Superior Defense] and [Formula: Runed Arcanite Rod].

At Enchanting 285 use [Enchant Cloak – Superior Defense] x5—requiring [Illusion Dust] x40.

At Enchanting 290 you’ll want to get yourself a [Runed Arcanite Rod]. For this you’ll need your trusty [Runed Truesilver Rod], an [Arcanite Rod] made by a Blacksmith, [Large Brilliant Shard] x2, [Greater Eternal Essence] x4, and [Illusion Dust] x10.

At Enchanting 291 use [Enchant Cloak – Superior Defense] x9—requiring [Illusion Dust] x72.

Now it’s time for a [Runed Fel Iron Rod]. You will need your [Runed Arcanite Rod], a [Fel Iron Rod] made by a Blacksmith, [Large Brilliant Shard] x6, and [Greater Eternal Essence] x4.

This next set is going to take a great deal of [Arcane Dust] so find a truckload supply of it (approx. 383, +45 more at the end).

At Enchanting 301 use [Enchant Bracer – Assault] x9—requiring [Arcane Dust] x54.

At Enchanting 310 use [Enchant Bracer – Brawn] x10—requiring [Arcane Dust] x30.

At Enchanting 315 use [Enchant Globes – Assault] x13—requiring [Arcane Dust] x104.

At Enchanting 325 use [Enchant Shield – Major Stamina] x13—requiring [Arcane Dust] x195.

At Enchanting 335 use [Enchant Shield – Resilience] x5—requiring [Lesser Planar Essence]x20 and [Large Prismatic Shard] x5.

At Enchanting 340 use [Superior Wizard Oil] x15—requiring [Crystal Vial] x15, [Nightmare Vine] x15, and [Arcane Dust] x45. Vials, as usual, can be bought from a trade goods vendor; the vines can be gotten from sufficiently leveled Herbalists; and the dust is a byproduct of disenchanting.

Enchanting 350-425

Time to visit the trainer again to learn Grand Master Enchanting. This will allow you to reach Enchanting 450. You will need to be at least level 65 at this time.

You will now need a [Runed Adamantite Rod]. This will require your [Runed Fel Iron Rod], an [Adamanite Rod] made by a Blacksmith, a [Primal Might], [Large Prismatic Shard] x8, and [Greater Planar Essence] x8. The primal must be made by an Alchemist via transmutation so either you’ll have to deliver a bunch of primals to an Alchemist (an Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Mana) or you’ll have to find one on the Auction House.

During this next section you’ll also need a truckload of [Infinite Dust] so be sure to get yourself a vast supply (approx. 655.)

At Enchanting 351 use [Enchant Cloak – Speed] x9—requiring [Infinite Dust] x54.

At Enchanting 360 use [Enchant Bracers – Striking] x18—requiring [Infinite Dust] x108.

Time for a new rod, you’ll need a [Runed Eternium Rod]. This will require your [Runed Adamantite Rod], an [Eternium Rod], made by a Blacksmith, [Arcane Dust] x6, and [Greater Planar Essence] x6.

At Enchanting 376 use [Enchant Bracers – Striking] x6—requiring [Infinite Dust] x36.

At Enchanting 380 use [Enchant Bracers – Exceptional Intellect] x5—requiring [Infinite Dust] x50.

At Enchanting 385 use [Enchant Boots – Icewalker] x10—requiring [Crystallized Water] x10 and [Infinite Dust] x80. The water drops from mobs all over Northrend, but your best bet will be to purchase it from the Auction House.

At Enchanting 395 use [Enchant Cloak – Superior Agility] x23—requiring [Infinite Dust] x207.

At Enchanting 415 use [Enchant Boots – Greater Spirit] x5—requiring [Greater Cosmic Essence] x5 and [Infinite Dust] x30.

Once again, it’s time for another rod as you’ll need a [Runed Titanium Rod] to continue. To make one you’ll need your [Runed Eternium Rod], a [Titanium Rod] made by a Blacksmith, [Dream Shard] x8, [Greater Cosmic Essence] x12, and [Infinite Dust] x40.

Enchanting 425-525

To get through the final stretch, you’ll need to visit your trainer for the last time to receive Illustrious Grand Master Encahnting. This will permit you to reach the final level of 525. You will need to be at least level 75 at this time.

For this final batch you’ll mostly need [Greater Celestial Essence] (approx. 131) and [Hypnotic Dust] (approx. 519) so stock up on as much as you can get.

At Enchanting 426 use [Enchant Boots – Earthen Vitality] x9—requiring [Hypnotic Dust] x18.

At Enchanting 435 use [Enchant Cloak – Greater Spell Piercing] x5—requiring [Hypnotic Dust] x15.

At Enchanting 450 use [Enchant Weapon – Avalanche]—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x6 and [Hypnotic Dust] x4.

At Enchanting 455 use [Enchant Boots – Haste] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x5 and [Hypnotic Dust] x10.

At Enchanting 460 use [Enchant Bracer – Critical Strike] x5—requiring [Lesser Celestial Essence] x10 and [Hypnotic Dust] x20.

At Enchanting 465 use [Enchant Cloak – Intellect] x5—requiring [Hypnotic Dust] x30.

At Enchanting 470 use [Enchant Gloves – Exceptional Strength] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x10 and [Hypnotic Dust] x15.

At Enchanting 475 use [Enchant Boots – Major Agility] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x10 and [Hypnotic Dust] x20.

At Enchanting 480 use [Enchant Gloves – Greater Expertise] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x10 and [Hypnotic Dust] x25.

At Enchanting 485 use [Enchant Shield – Blocking] x5—requiring [Hypnotic Dust] x60.

At Enchanting 490 use [Enchant Cloak – Critical Strike] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x10 and [Hypnotic Dust] x40.

At Enchanting 495 use [Enchant Bracer - Precision] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x5 and [Hypnotic Dust] x60.

At Enchanting 500 use [Enchant Cloak – Protection] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x15 and [Hypnotic Dust] x40.

At Enchanting 505 use [Enchant Bracer – Exceptional Spirit] x5—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x15 and [Hypnotic Dust] x45.

At Enchanting 510 use [Enchant Boots – Mastery] x15—requiring [Greater Celestial Essence] x45 and [Hypnotic Dust] x150.

At this time you should be at Enchanting 525.
